HOW TO BID
Bidding takes about ten seconds to learn
Live every Monday at 4 PM PT on YouTube. Free to watch, free to bid, free to win. Here's how a tool goes from the bench to your mailbox.
Tune in on YouTube
Open the FixingCanoe live stream Monday at 4 PM PT and have the chat open. The stream works best in the YouTube app or a browser where you're signed in, since bidding happens in chat. Early in the stream there are free giveaways, so early bird gets the worm.
Watch the tool come up
CANOE shows the tool on camera, reads the part number, and calls out the condition. The starting bid is what he actually paid for it. No hidden reserve, no shill bids. Where it goes from there is up to chat.
Type your bid in chat
Type a number, with or without the dollar sign. Or just type BID and you're in at the next step up.
You can always jump higher by typing a bigger number.
Watch the timer
A countdown runs on screen and resets with every new bid. When it hits zero, CANOE counts it down live.
Don't wait for the last second. If you want it, bid while the clock is red.
Win and check out
Highest bid when the clock runs out takes it home. If you're on file, a private checkout link at your winning price lands in your inbox after the stream. Win more than one tool? Add them all to one cart so they ship together and you pay shipping once. Please check out within 48 hours so your tools can get boxed up.
First time here? Get on file before the stream so your link comes automatically. Otherwise email fixingcanoe@gmail.com with a screenshot of your YouTube profile after you win.
Quick tips
- Late in the stream things move fast. Quick items sell by typing the tool and your price, like "3/8 Snap-on ratchet 45".
- Shipping is by weight and added at checkout. VIP priority shipping is available if you want it out the door first.
- Members get a spin on the prize wheel when they win. Membership is optional and never required to bid.
- All sales are final. Ask about condition in chat before the timer runs out if you're unsure.
